Automated export of origin text out of QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign textframes into a Microsoft Word document and re-import of the translated text with only a few "Clicks"
Marketing material like catalogues, brochures, flyers, packings etc., but also operating manuals or documentations are often created with the well known layoutsoftware QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign
If this documents should be translated in different languages, the translater has to be able to open the file formats of the corresponding layout software. Unfortunatly it is shown by experience that many of the smaller and well specialized translation bureaus are not able to open the files, because they don´t have the needed, expensive layoutsoftware in use.
In case of this software is not available in the designated translation bureau, the orderer has only the choice to transfer the text content of the layout document in a current file format like Microsoft Word. Therefore the orderer has to export the whole text of the textboxes of a layout document into a Microsoft Word document by hand! If the translater has finished his job, the translated text has to be re-imported from the Word- into the layout document by the same labour extensive way. Additional to that labour expenditure and cost intensitivity there are many error sources wich consist by copy and paste the text between the applications.
