IFRA 2010- a great success!
Our exportsolution "Print2iPad", for the automated publishing of QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign printlayouts on the iPad/iPhone, has been met by the IFRA visitors with great enthusiasm.
With more then 10.000 visitors from 97 countries was the leading fair for the newspaper- and media industry a tremendous success! One of the topics this year were softwareproducts- and solutions around tablet pc´s, like the iPad and the iPhone.
For the CoDesCo team the fair was a perfect opportunity to present our newest softwaredevelopment "Print2iPad", wich with we hited the mark concerning this years core theme "Publishing print content on tablet pc´s" on IFRA.
We want to thank all visitors for their great interest and the positive feedback regarding our solution.
Print2iPad:
Publish print content automatically on the iPad/iPhone
"Print2iPad" is a big challange for publishing houses today - the term "iPad" stands as a synonym for all digital output channels like iPad, iPhone, but also archives, websites, epaper, etc.
In this context many publishing houses are confronted with the following question: How can I transfer content of an existing printlayout full automated but also individual structured in arbitrarily digital output channels like XML, ePub, XPS, XHTML, PDF or other formats.
For this purpose CoDesCo has presented a solution on IFRA, wich will not only manhandle the full automated and structured export of already existing print editions into digital output channels, furthermore multimedia content like videos, links, etc. can be added in the printlayout for the displaying in the digital output channels.
For safe export results the solution will also visualize insufficiencies in the print documentstructures, wich have effects on the digital presentation on the mobile ouput devices. Shown insufficiencies can be corrected with only a few clicks.
The solution is available (with or without editorial system) for QuarXPress 7 & 8 and Adobe InDesign CS 4 & 5 - other formats are in preparation.
The solution will be completed by the development of customized "App´s" for the iPhone and iPad, wich can be "feeded" directly with the exported content.
This solution is already in use by "DER SPIEGEL" as well as the Heise-Verlag.

Customized softwaresolutions for translation workflow with DTP software
As one of the leading provider and developer of XTensions™ and PlugIns™ for the Quark and Adobe productrange (QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign etc.), we have developed the translationtool ex TranslationFilter.
This software allows the user an easily export of content out of QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign textboxes into XLIFF Format or a MSWord document and vice versa. The software is connected over interfaces to translation memory systems like SDL Trados, Accross, MemoQ, etc.
"ex TranslatioFilter" is also available as a serversolution called "ex TranslationFilter Server". Using the server solution you can provide and edit the documents browser-based via the internet.

Additional to the above described productfeatures, CoDesCo presents the TranslationFilter serversolution. This allows the administration and presentation of documents over a webbrowser. While the translator or the translation agency is working on a translation via web, they can see a preview of the document in real time. The same is valid for the customer who can control the status and the result of the translation in real time. Integration in all TMS-systems is selfevident.
