Job Detective provides a scalable solution for document tracking within an organization. Tracking the time spent on a specific document can be invaluable for accurate customer billing, and finding out the status of a particular page, who's currently working on which pages, and the history of a page, all help to streamline the workflow in a department. With JobDetective installed, QuarkXPress will track everything that happens to a document. This information in encapsulated with the document file and the history follows the document wherever it goes. JobDetective keeps track of each time the document is opened, saved (as a document or as an EPS), or printed. Every action is time and date stamped and also tagged with the name of the user who performed the action, since every copy of JobDetective can be personalized with the user's name.
