ColorSync2 XT

Offers QuarkXPress users first-time high color fidelity according to Apple's ColorSync 2 Standard

The ColorSync 2 XTension offers QuarkXPress users first-time high color fidelity according to Apple's ColorSync 2 Standard in screen display, in proof printing and on the definite output device.

With the help of this XTension QuarkXPress users allocate individual scanner profiles to their tiff pictures in order to characterize the specific color attributes of the input devices. The colors then are adapted with Apple ColorSync 2 to screen display and printing. Scanned pictures may now be left in RGB, because the XTension executes best possible color separation with color fidelity.

The ColorSync 2 XTension does not only treat tiff pictures, but also colored QuarkXPress elements as lines, boxes, background or fonts. This guarantees optimal color output for the whole document on a constant high level. The XTension is based upon Apple ColorSync 2 and uses all device profiles according to International Color Consortium ICC standard. Color characteristics, that standardize the complete working process, can be developed with spectral photometer and profile generating software.

New in version 2.0: Support of uncompressed CIE Lab and LabLH tiffs in QuarkXPress. When pictures have already a color profile the profile must not be defined again. In addition more than 30 MB of new ICC profiles for many typical prepress environments as is SWOP, Euroscale, Chromalin etc. and for Agfa and Linotype-Hell scanners complete the XTension.
