Xactuell is a powerful "Database Publishing Tool“ for the production of different print publications. Available as XTension or Plugin Xactuell works within QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign under Windows and Mac OS X.

Set connections for text and picture frames and charts to the database. Over these connections article numbers oder IDs are delivered from the database. This makes Xactuell a helpful tool for publications, where only a part of information changes, such as prices in a price list or text segments to be replaced, for example, if a part in one language shall be replaced with the same text in another language.

The layout templates contain all necessary linking information to the product database and in the pagination list the rules are defined for the automatic placing of the templates with referenced data. Later on the finished document can easily be updated without layout changes.

Xactuell
The basic version of Xactuell is intended to be used for standing type. Xactuell allows you to link specified information in your QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign document, as price informations, with your product database. When the product informations are changed in the database, they can be updated as well in the document with a single click.

Xactuell 2008
For working with templates and automating for building new layout files. With the help of templates, created with QuarkXPress or InDesign and stored in a standard library of the layout applications, document pages can be generated automatically by processing a pagination list.

Xactuell Layouter
Xactuell Layouter allows a fully automated catalogue production by executing a pagination script controlling the entire page layout. Several templates can be managed in a standard library of QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign containing all linking information to the database. With its extensive scripting options Xactuell Layouter offers numerous possibilities to analyse data extracted at run time and evaluate them with further information for the exact placing of templates. Xactuell is the most flexible application to automatically place templates thus generating large documents and update them afterwards easily with new product information without any layout changes.

Xactuell Visual
Xactuell Visual is a free of charge tool for the transfer of QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign documents, on which has been working with the full verison of Xactuell. The documents can be over-worked  without having Xactuell. The connections Xactuell has created are highlighted in order to protect them against unintentional handling or deletion.
