High quality spell-/grammarchecking and hyphenation in Duden quality for QuarkXPress™
Duden Korrektor for QuarkXPress is based on the latest standardedition of "Duden - Die deutsche Rechtschreibprüfung", 25 th. edition.
Next to the spell- and grammarchecking the XTension contains also a fully automated hyphenation with 4 styles which can be adjusted individually for paragraphs and paragraph formats.
The preferences palette allows the following settings:
The german language module offers a choice between conventional and reformed German.The reformed german language module offers furthermore the choice to select between the conservative and progressive syntax. Respectively Press/Agency or Duden suggestion can be distinguished.
Using this pre-selection most of the documents can be corrected without using an exception lexica. If needed, exception lexica can be defined individually as well.
Standards can also be defined for replacement of shortcuts or acception of composed nouns.
Individual dictionarys and exception lists can be compiled and marked as private, protected or public. Same dictionarys and exception lists can be used by different users. Dictionarys and exception lists will be saved on a central server.
Duden Korrektor for QuarkXPress does not only proof spell-checking, grammar, hyphenation, punctuation, shortcuts and variants/styles of writing- the automatic error correction corrects all predefined mistake types like old, today unknown, styles of writing or incorrect use of letters by itself.
While spellchecking hyphenation also will be done at the same time.
Soft hyphens are entered and are hidden as long as not required.
In general the hyphenation for the QuarkXPress document is still defined by the set preferences of H&J. Wich hyphenation style for wich language QuarkXPress should use, will be set in the preferences of QuarkXPress.
Duden Korrektor for QuarkXPress is available as a standalone and a network-compatible version. The word pool can be extended by two more own dictionaries wich can be filled with own words, hyphenation styles, etc.
