CoDesCo IT Consulting GmbH and SCC Media have cooperated on a number of projects where interfaces between a powerful workflow based digital asset management, and high capacity production environment are crucial.  We‘ve successfully integrated SCC products  with  various production environments.

SCC is the leading provider of cross-platform tools for digital asset management, including the high-performance SQL-based MediaServer archive and production workflow database system.

MediaServer provides client-server access to graphics, text, and image objects, photo and story assignment, integration with Microsoft Word, and a variety of sophisticated search capabilities.

SCC MediaFactory is designed to process text, graphics and pictures originally transmitted from wire services, stored in archives, or saved directly from word processors or scanning devices.

Clients include MediaGrid, a cross platform Windows and Macintosh client with high-end viewing, editing, and workflow features, and the Web Browser client with customizable web pages and features.

MediaServer
For the ultimate in multimedia production and acrchive workflow management systems, discover SCC MediaServer for Windows NT. Insert your multimedia objects, including picture files, text files, PDFs as well as sound and video clips into the SCC MediaServer database and use the proven SCC MediaGrid to search and browse them. In addition, access from your local Intranet or enterprise via the World Wide Web is supported by the SCC MediaServer CGI, using any industry standard Internet browser. SCC MediaServer is scalable to hundreds of thousands of files with many users and offers unequalled performance and features in a multimedia management system.
MediaServer also incorporates a number of optional modules : Photo Assignment, Merlin Photo Conversion Utility, Delivery Module and Microsoft Word Module.

MediaFactory
SCC MediaFactory is a batch processing application for WindowsNT/2000/95/98 for routing files, copying data via FTP, processing Mac Binary files, transferring from a GPIB server, and inserting photos, PDF, text, graphics, audio, and video into an SCC MediaServer Database Library. It can be configured with as many as 199 processing channels that can be stacked together like building blocks to meet complicated image and file processing requirements. Each channel executes simultaneously and independently using a sophisticated, multi-threaded software architecture.

MediaGrid
SCC MediaGrid for Windows NT/2000/95/98 and Power Macintosh is a feature full media browser application that displays thumbnails representing files. MediaGrid allows you to watch multiple folders located on different volumes or different servers, as well as watch SCC MediaServer database libraries at the same time. You can view them through a single window or MediaGrid can divide them up into multiple windows specific to the information you wish to display. MediaGrid puts you in control of attributes, viewing options, preferences, search criteria, dialogs and proofs.

SCC Plug In Kit
SCC Plug-In Kit (PIK) (Windows NT/95 or Macintosh) allows images to be saved from Adobe Photoshop as SCC JPEG complete with cross platform 128 pixel thumbnails and 512 pixel previews in addition to embedded IPTC caption data.The Plug-In Kit also has its own proofer module to allow proofing of images complete with full IPTC caption data plus other customizable fields.The Plug-In also supports automatic cropping of files marked with crop information from within SCC MediaGrid.
