Quark Dynamic Document Server™ is basically QuarkXPress™ without a user interface, combined with an HTTP Server. Quark, Inc’s precise production engine within a server environment allows virtually all QuarkXpress™ functionality to be accessed using HTTP.

This breakthrough technology enables “Publishing on Demand“ everywhere via the Internet, and opens endless possibilites for new ways of handling the production and distribution of printed and digital matter.

The diagram below illustrates a basic QuarkDDS™ server system set up. The functionality of QuarkDDS™ out of the box is represented by the middle-box. Additional functionality can be customised for individual corporate needs. QuarkDMS™ is shown here as a possibility, and other content management systems or file systems can be integrated.
