MarkzTools is a content integrity XTension for QuarkXPress 4.11 and 5.x that ensures protection by preventing file content integrity and corruption ("bad file format [70], [39], and [108].") when working with QuarkXPress documents. This latest upgrade allows the user to convert QuarkXPress v6 documents into QuarkXPress v4.11 or 5.x in Macintosh OS 9. Other enhancements include "verify saved document", so you will immediately know when the integrity of your file is suspect and "save a temporary copy of document" before saving the original document, so that in the event something goes wrong during the 'save' process, the user will still have the temporary file available for recovery. In the case of a badly corrupted file in which the page layout cannot be salvaged, the "scavenge text" features may extract text stories from a document file.
